DATAN is an independent, family-owned statistical data analysis company serving all industries with a need to process and analyze large amounts of data. Since our inception, our focus has been on providing a comprehensive range of services to the pharmaceutical industry and academic institutions.

DATAN was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in the university city of Münster. The DATAN teams have successfully completed more than 500 projects for the pharmaceutical industry involving around 1 million patients and a wide variety of indications. DATAN is an internationally recognized expert for the monitoring of national and international clinical trials and non-interventional studies.

On average, our statisticians and our programmers/data managers have 13 years of professional experience. DATAN has an extremely low fluctuation rate, which is also reflected in stable project teams and constant customer relationships. We invest in the continuous training and development of our employees

All employees keep their specialist knowledge up to date with internal training courses and participation in further training and congresses. Industry-standard specialist knowledge, such as up-to-date GCP knowledge, is documented by certificates. SAS® and R knowledge is systematically expanded.

We use the most up-to-date and secure IT systems

Our IT landscape and the security products we use are - as far as possible - "Made in Germany". All systems are regularly put to the test and brought up to date. Our employees are made aware of information security through regular training. Our IT is monitored by an external data protection officer.

Our processes are continuously optimized

The permanent optimization of our processes is part of our corporate culture. Mistakes can also happen. We accept this and deal with them constructively and appreciatively. This is because they provide us with information, for example about weak points in the process or possible new solutions. We get to the bottom of the cause together and ensure that the same error does not occur again. If a proposed solution results in a measurable improvement, it becomes the new standard. Our processes are documented in SOPs and our programming complies with industry standards.

We aim to provide "correct" results

Our efforts focus on validating the tables, lists and graphics we produce and checking the underlying data. Compliance with the dual control principle is mandatory: work results are only made available to our customers after approval.
